How to Turn Your Video Content Into a Lead Generation Machine
Most consultants publish video without a conversion system. Here is the architecture that turns video views into email subscribers and discovery calls.

Video Without a Conversion System Is a Hobby
Publishing video content without a system to convert viewers into leads is like running a storefront with no door. People can see what you have. They cannot come in.
The viewing experience ends when the video ends. Without a deliberate conversion path, the viewer moves on. With one, they take the next step that begins a business relationship.
The Video Conversion Architecture
Layer 1: The lead magnet CTA (in-video) At the 70–80% mark of every video, mention a specific free resource that extends the value of what you just covered. Not "visit my website" — a specific thing: "I have a free worksheet for this process at [URL] — link in the description."
The specificity matters: "worksheet for this framework" converts better than "more resources."
Layer 2: The description link Every video description should contain a link to the lead magnet in the first two lines. Most platforms fold description text after 2–3 lines — the link must appear before the fold.
Layer 3: The comment reply For videos that generate comment engagement, reply to comments with a question that moves the conversation to a more personal level. "You mentioned X — what have you tried so far?" This opens a dialogue that is the first step toward a business conversation.
Layer 4: The email sequence Everyone who downloads the lead magnet enters a nurture sequence that continues the value delivery from the video and eventually moves toward a discovery call invitation.
Measuring the Conversion System
Track from video view to: lead magnet click → download → email open → discovery call. Each step has a benchmark conversion rate. When a step underperforms, optimize that step specifically.
